Safety Starts Young

At Ozarks Electric, we believe electrical safety education should start early—and stick for life. That’s why we offer engaging programs designed specifically for students, from elementary to high school. Through interactive assemblies like “Making Accidents Disappear” and live high-voltage demonstrations, we teach young audiences how electricity works, why it matters, and how to stay safe around it.

Making Accidents Disappear

Making Accidents Disappear" is a 40-minute educational assembly that teaches children the importance of electrical safety through magic, comedy, stories, and audience participation. Sponsored by electric cooperatives nationwide, the program was created by magician Scott Davis, who has customized his award-winning magic for cooperatives across the country to communicate important messages in an engaging way.

Live Energy Trailer

Our Live Energy Trailer delivers a high-voltage demonstration designed for middle and high school students, highlighting the dangers of electrical hazards and the importance of staying safe around power lines. Students learn:

  • How electricity works

  • How electricity is delivered to homes and businesses

  • What happens when a fault occurs on the line

The program also covers how protective gear keeps lineworkers safe, the importance of situational awareness, and the training required to pursue a career in the electric utility industry.
