High Voltage Lineman Scholarship

Each year, Ozarks Electric Cooperative awards one scholarship to the Arkansas State University-Newport High Voltage Lineman Technology program.

After completing the 10-month program, the recipient will earn a technical certificate in High Voltage Lineman Technology. The scholarship covers tuition, fees, books and equipment; the student is responsible for room and board.

Eligibility

Graduating seniors and recent graduates, up to two years post-graduation, from high schools in the Ozarks Electric service territory are eligible to apply.

Application Process

A complete online application must be submitted by the deadline of April 1, 2026. The application requires one letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor or other community contact and a copy of the student's most recent transcript at the time of submission. All applicants will be notified of their selection status in mid-April. Applications will be available on December 1, 2025.
