Ozarks Electric Cooperative is proud to support local students and families through recent donations made possible in partnership with CoBank and its Sharing Success program.

Through this initiative, CoBank matched Ozarks Electric’s contributions, resulting in $15,000 in total support for three school-based programs serving children and families in need. These donations include $5,000 each to programs connected with Cherokee Children Inc, Prairie Grove School District, and West Fork Elementary School.

One of the highlighted efforts is the Prairie Grove Family Support Center, which operates programs like its Backpack Program. This initiative helps provide food assistance to students who may face food insecurity outside of school hours, helping ensure they have access to meals over weekends and school breaks.

While each program operates locally and independently, they share a common mission of supporting students beyond the classroom. Similar volunteer-led efforts are also active in West Fork, Arkansas, and Bunch, Oklahoma, where community members work to meet the needs of children and their families.

These contributions reflect Ozarks Electric’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the communities it serves. By partnering with organizations like CoBank, the cooperative is able to extend the reach of its giving and support programs that make a direct, meaningful impact on local families.
